Expected Results

  • A questionnaire as a result from a workshop on  "How to make the best questionnaire?" for the research of the most frequent problems among young generation.

  • Surveys carried out by the teams at schools

  • Stalls in home towns with the aim to make our project visible and to get more respondents  from the young residents

  • Processing the findings, evaluating and announcing results in presentations

  • Video records of the following activities:

    • Workshops in each school, where the local teams will discuss the results of questionnaires from partner schools

    • Workshops for schoolmates and teachers where they will introduce the main problems typical of each partner country and provide  background information for proper understanding

  • Preparation of  6 role plays about solving some of the problems for the next meeting

  • A video record from a session "If I were you, I would/I wouldn't...". Each team will act out role plays in English language and the other teams will discuss if it is a workable  solution in their country surroundings

  • Preparation of  priority lists of the ten most pressing problems which will be the same for all  and ten which will be utterly different in each participating country

  • Leaflets, stalls, conferences, posters, short films, etc. about those ten problems which are utterly different, unknown in a country of participants. The aim will be to familiarise the local communities with the running project and open discussions about EU expectancy.

  • Materials, photos and videos prepared to prove the above mentioned activities for  a meeting at which they will be discussed and conclusions will be reached "legwork". The local teams will visit places which will be closely related to the ten most common problems which  young people  in EU countries experience. It could be a foster house, a re-education center, a psychology advisory center, a drug addict center, a training company, a recruitment agency, a headmaster of school,  a youth worker, a job counsellor, a member of parliament, etc.

  • Members of teams discuss problems directly at the place and produce evidence of visiting the place

  • Processing the activities and presentations about them

  • Presentations and reports on training of staff in Germany(Giesen). The first topic of that action will be "The way we were....., but so different?". It will be a workshop on  comparing different conditions of young people in separate parts of Europe(West/Germany, East /Bulgaria, North/Finland, former Soviet Union/Lithuania, different parts of Turkey/West, East). The second topic will be "Bridging the generation gap is responsibility of the elders"- a workshop - case study, sharing of good practices and ways and means by which we can be of efficient assistance to our students.  The third topic will be "Let's Span The Digital Divid" - a workshop on how to implement new technology( mobiles, i-pods and tablets in particular) more efficiently in the classroom instead of fighting them.

  • Preparing the rough outlines of an e-journal about differences and similarities which  will emerge in the project. The e-journal could be helpful for young people in each country to understand reasons for problems and possible solutions. It will be written not only in English, but in all languages of participants, in printed form, electronic form, with DVDs and photo documentation.

  • Agreement on the final content of the e-journal and evaluation of project activities.

  • Presentations, dissemination for community and working out the final report.

Throughout the project there will be all activities recorded by camera or video camera for proof. At least six articles will be written for local, regional newspapers or magazines about main activities. Regular info will be given to web pages of the schools and one common web page of the project will be made. We would like to involve in our activities local radio or TV channels to give the project public visibility.
